POLK COUNTY, Texas – According to reports, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) van carrying two correctional officers and one inmate crashed in Polk County, with limited details available as of yet.
The accident occurred at 8:40 a.m. on Highway 59, two miles south of Goodrich on the northbound side.
The condition of those involved is currently unknown, though the two officers were taken to Kingwood Hospital and the inmate was taken to Memorial Hermann.
Officials are reporting that their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. As more information becomes available, this story will be updated.
