The Savannah Bananas, known for their entertaining dance moves and fun approach to baseball, recently visited patients at Texas Children’s Hospital.
As part of their Banana Ball Tour, the team played a three-game series in Sugar Land before taking the time to brighten the day of young patients at the hospital.
The players visited with children in their rooms, including 4-year-old Oliver Blankenship whose love of baseball and the color yellow made for a special connection with the team.
The players showed off their best tricks and dance moves while also playing games with the kids in the Child Life Zone.
Catcher Bill LeRoy expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring joy to the young patients, adding that it is the team’s goal to create joy not only on the field but off it as well.
