Dave Mustaine is the founding member of the metal rock group Megadeth. He was also a member of Metallica for a while and wrote some of their songs.
He recently appeared on the Shawn Ryan podcast where he talked about a number of different subjects, but in one of the wildest segments, Mustaine talked about his faith and his past. Many years ago, he dabbled in witchcraft and he does not treat the subject lightly.
Mustaine describes a time when he was living in a trailer with his sister when he discovered she had a book about witchcraft which she had used to put a hex on a man who had stopped seeing her. According to Dave, her spell worked because the man came back to her. He then decided that he would use this book to cast a couple of hexes of his own, which he claims worked.
He then describes telling his wife and realizing that he needed to get away from this, but says it took years to rid himself of this darkness.
Talking about the dangers of this, he ominously says:
“When you open up the doors to the dark, they’re not gonna wait to be invited in. They’re coming.”
This is really fascinating, but obviously it’s not for children or the faint of heart. There’s plenty of cussing too, just so you know. Watch below:

He seems to have gotten his act together as a person after some dark times in his youth. People can learn to be better versions of themselves and Dave is obviously proof of that.
