Lil Durk’s manager confirms no one was shot dead during active shooting at WGCI Summer Jam concert at United Center, Chicago.
Reports of a shooting at the WGCI Summer Jam concert at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night were false, according to Lil Durk’s manager.
Unnecessary Balling, Durk’s manager, tweeted that “Nobody shot. Fake news.”
The Chicago Police Department had earlier said that they were responding to a report of a shooting at the arena, but later clarified that there had been no reports of injuries or deaths.
The concert was abruptly halted after a large brawl broke out between a number of individuals. Concertgoers were told to shelter in place while law enforcement investigated the incident.
It is not clear what caused the brawl, but it is not believed to have been targeted at Lil Durk.
The WGCI Summer Jam is an annual hip-hop concert that is held at the United Center. This year’s lineup included Lil Durk, Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, and DD Osama.
The concert was Durk’s first public appearance since the release of his new single “All My Life” featuring J. Cole. Durk is also gearing up to release his highly-anticipated new album.
