In the latest liberal insanity, according to The College Fix, “Abortion bans and “anti-LGBTQ+ legislation” are two of the topics that an Ithaca College course will explore this semester using an “intersectional feminist lens.”
The private New York college, with a hefty annual tuition of $50,070, apparently never got the memo that Trump is president and the days of wokeness are over.
The crazy political science class focuses on “the subjugation of women and LGBTQ.”
They will also study “feminist ideology.”
One would wonder how these courses help in the job market or the real world in general. The answer is they don’t.
According to The College Fix “Key questions to be discussed throughout are the issues of the sexual division of labor; the acceptance or rejection of the issues of the sexual division of labor; the acceptance or rejection of the connection between sexual and class oppression, and other key historical and contemporary feminist debates.”
In other words this course like many woke courses taught by universities this course is a total waste of time.
Despite the overall current trend of less wokeness in public places the Cultural Marxists at American colleges remain frequently defiant.
DEI must be rooted out of all schools public and private.
These woke courses, instead of preparing students ,divide our society further and create unnecessary resentment.
Sadly, cultural Marxism divides America and causes division throughout the Western world.
This leads inevitably to something else laid out in The College Fix article: prejudice against traditional students who believe in traditional family values.
As Kristi Hamrick of Students For Life put it, “What’s tragic on too many college and university campuses is that the free open marketplace of ideas is instead an expensive, closed, and prejudiced small circle of politically correct thinking.”
