Houston, Texas – Houston police have launched investigations into several shootings that occurred throughout the city late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
One shooting occurred at the Cleme Manor Apartments located in the 5300 block of Coke Street. According to police reports, two young men wearing masks were near the entrance of the apartment complex when they opened fire using rifles. One man was shot when a bullet grazed his forehead. It is unclear if the victim was targeted or why the suspects were shooting in his direction.
Another shooting occurred at the 900 Wooding Street where a male victim in his 20s was shot during a drive-by shooting. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The suspect(s) were driving a black Nissan and are still at large.
At The Village at West University Apartments located at 5151 Edloe Street, one man was shot and transported to a local hospital in critical condition. No further details were released.
Houston police are also investigating a shooting that occurred at Shenandoah Woods Apartments, where a man was found with a gunshot wound to the arm. According to the victim’s girlfriend, the shooting likely stemmed from an argument.
Finally, one man was shot and transported to a local hospital in a shooting that occurred at 11600 Homestead Road. Police have very little detail on the incident and there is no word on the status of the victim or if police have a suspect.
