Americans are reacting with shock and anger after a 14-year-old boy was arrested for killing three people and injuring four others in a shooting at Siam Paragon mall in Thailand. The boy was seen wearing a baseball cap with an American flag on it.
Many Americans are expressing concern that the boy’s choice of clothing suggests that he was inspired by American mass shooters. Others are calling for stricter gun control laws in both the United States and Thailand.
“It’s sickening to see a young boy wearing an American flag hat while committing mass murder,” said one Twitter user. “This is a clear sign that we need to do more to address gun violence in our country.”
“This is a tragedy that could have been prevented,” said another Twitter user. “We need to pass stricter gun control laws so that this doesn’t happen again.”
The shooting in Thailand has also raised questions about the availability of guns in the country. Thailand has strict gun control laws, but it is still possible for people to obtain guns illegally.
“The fact that a 14-year-old boy was able to get his hands on a gun is a serious problem,” said one gun control advocate. “We need to do more to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.”
